Scott King is a native of Los Angeles. After graduating from U.C. Santa Barbara with a degree in philosophy, Scott moved to Europe where he spent 3 years. During that time, he started a classic Harley-Davidson importing business in Switzerland, worked as an English teacher and traveled extensively.
Upon coming back to the USA, Scott moved to Portland, OR, where he took a job as a wheat trader with Sumitomo Corporation. Scott stayed with Sumitomo for 7 years, but during that time his interest in real estate began. Scott restored several craftsman houses which eventually overtook the corporate life.
Scott moved back to Los Angeles in 2004 and began his career in real estate. He is excited to join Deasy/Penner and feels lucky to have found a company that not only shares his philosophy, but also is filled with knowledgeable and genuinely nice people.
Scott began kitesurfing in Oregon in 2001 and it quickly turned into a passion. Over the years he has had the fortune of being able to kitesurf in numerous countries in South America, Southeast Asia, etc. He can be seen frequently at Leo Carrillo or Ventura beach playing in the wind and waves when he has free time and the conditions cooperate.
Last but certainly not least, Scott and his fiancé are expecting a baby girl at the end of July.
